INTRODUCING THE

FUTSAL GIRLS SUPER LEAGUE

Greater London’s brand new futsal league for girls

About the Futsal Girls Super League

In 2021, we launched the Girls Super League to address the barriers that girls faced in accessing competitive football. Our format, providing a central venue for all age groups from U9 to U16, has been a huge success.

The Girls Super League makes it easy and convenient for players and their coaches to take part in league football, and we are now the fastest-growing girls’ football league in London, with 79 teams and counting.

Seeing similar challenges within the girls’ futsal community, we realised that our Girls Super League model would be the perfect format to give futsal players the opportunity to play regular competitive matches.

The team behind the Girls Super League are expert at organising fixtures, managing venues and referees and facilitating the best competitions for girls.

  • Futsal is played with 5 players on the court from each side, but we recommend a squad of 8 or 9 players.

This will allow you to maximise the benefits of rolling substitutions and ensure that you can fulfil all fixtures.

  • There will be 8 teams competing in each age division. Over the course of 4 match days, you will play a fixture against every other team in your division.

What is futsal?

Futsal is a 5-a-side game that is played on an indoor court, with a smaller, heavier ball. The combination of having fewer players and a more restricted space creates an emphasis on technical skill.

Why play futsal?

Futsal is an exciting sport in its own right - fast-paced, creative, and technical. However, it can also be a fantastic tool for players to develop their skills for football by improving their ball control, decision-making and more!

Joining the Futsal Girls Super League isn’t just about playing futsal, it’s about becoming a part of a community. Whether you have a passion for the sport or are interested in trying something new, the Futsal GSL offers a fun and supportive environment for girls to compete and enjoy the game!
